Irish Simmental Premier Sale Oct 26- lastest - Flipbook - Page 59
and Auroch Magnifico all purchased in the past 20 years shaping the herd
with some our own genetics used to compliment them with Clonagh Tiger
Gallant, Bartman, Direct Debit and Legal Eagle further solidifying the family
lines.
Our show record goes without saying, from 12 “Overall Simmental of the
Year” titles out of the last 15 competed in to dominating senior classes in
both the male and female sections over the past number of years which is
predominately down to the power and presence of the females produced
by our herd sires. Through the shop window of the show circuit cows
like “Absolutely Fabulous”, “Dora the Explorer” and “Darling Eyes” have
cemented their part in the history books but more importantly also gone
on to breed their own show and sale champions … where the real money is
made!
We currently hold the society sale records for both male and female with
€52,000 for Lucky Explorer in 2020 and €18,000 for Jubilant Fabulous in
2019 both of whom have family entered in this draft and have also bred top
priced cattle themselves in the UK. For the past 6 years we have mainly sold
our heifers via online sale and in two batch exports to Spain but there is
nothing like the sale buzz you get in Roscommon and with a batch of heifers
like these it was an easy decision to make.
As ever there is a wealth of information available on the website www.
clonaghherds.com and social media platforms. All lots have been individually
filmed and photographed with the emphasis on the video footage to
accommodate the online bidders.
We wish everyone the best of luck with their purchases and look forward to
hopefully following their successes for generations to come.
