25th Anniversary Sale at Gort
The Southwest Simmental Club held their Special 25th Anniversary sale at Gort Mart on
Wednesday October 8th and the trade was best described as electric.
In the incalf section 47 out of the 49 heifers entered sold to an average price just a few euro short
of €4000. The top call here was €4900 for a January calving heifer with two more hitting the €4550
mark.
The maiden section saw a top price per kg of €9.04 for a April 2024 born heifer that weighed 415,
selling for €3750. Other notable prices here included:
